About

"Her debut 2017 album Melaleuca was not only a confident release of minimal folk pop, effortlessly showcasing her lyrical sensitivity and ethereal voice, it also achieved her goal of making ‘simple’, stripped back music that would connect more deeply with people" - Paul Gough

"Rich with a sense of the melancholic and mysterious" -

The Music

Naomi Keyte is making an interesting blend of folk and alt-pop music that is distinct both sonically and lyrically.

There is an intimacy in Keyte’s voice that is both gentle and powerful, and the band help bring to life her image-rich lyrics. With Felicity Freeman on bass,Thomas Kneebone on guitar and Tyson Baird on Drums, the sound this collective are creating is simultaneously minimal and generous. They use space and restraint in a way that lends impact to the moments when they choose to give it all.

In 2016 Naomi won the National Live Music Award for ‘Best Live Voice SA’ and in 2017 was nominated for three South Australian Music awards; ‘Best Release’, ‘Best Folk’, and ‘Best Female Artist’.

Since the 2017 release of her debut album ‘Melaleuca’, Naomi has played a series of Parlour shows and a handful of festivals including Here’s to Now, The Basket Range Festival, WOMADelaide (2018) and OzAsia (2019).

Naomi released her stunning single, Travelling Woman, in May 2020 and recently won 'Best Folk' at the South Australian Music Awards.
